Episode 5– Justin Richards and dealing with Covid-19

When we recorded this, we were dealing with the early days of Covid-19 and we wanted to talk about the mental health issues of isolation. Now that the states are easing restrictions, I want to release this episode. Why? Because I worry that we may end up going back into isolation mode again and so many of us are still reeling mentally, emotionally and more from the effects from round one. Justin is an AMAZING author of Finger Guns from Vault Comics and he’s a great person to follow on Twitter. He and Jay Sandlin are fun to talk to in this episode and as we talk the realities of isolation, of comics, and mental health–I think you’ll discover it’s not always easy to be honest about our own state of mind. So, it’s okay to say you need help. It’s okay to reach out to others. Please do not hesitate to get the help you need. The world is not in a normal state and none of us phoenyxes are in a normal place right now. To be brave is to say–“I need help.” So, it’s okay to be brave…to step out and get help. We are always here with you.
